❤️ Weekend Favorites: 17 household habits to clear mental clutter + the nappuccino

Weekend Wisdom: When I set a boundary, I'm not saying, "You can't do that." I'm saying, "This is what I will do when you do that."

All I ask for this time of year is a cool down. I want to wear a sweater, light a candle and turn off the air conditioner. I'd like to get in my car after grocery shopping and not yell, "Ow! Ow!" as my legs hit the hot seat and my hands grip the hot steering wheel. I want to go for a walk in the middle of the day without sweating. I've mentioned some version of these desires this week for the last few years in my 5-year journal.

Today, all of my dreams came true. It was a cool morning, not sweater cool but good enough cool. And this afternoon, as I tap these words out, I'm sitting next to my window while it pours rain and hail. I might light a candle and make a cup of tea! Tomorrow morning there is a slight possibility that I can wear a sweater for an early morning walk. I'm incredibly grateful.

By the end of September, you'll create a more spacious life. I'm not suggesting you declutter your garage or entire kitchen in a day. Instead I invite you to release one thing, one category of things or declutter one small space each day. Check out the list! 30 Things to Declutter by The End of The Month. xo, Courtney

Weekend Wisdom: Give yourself permission to know when it’s time to let go of something. I'm planning to spend more time with a notebook than I do with my phone in the coming weeks and months. Instead of Googling things, I'm going to write down the question first. My grocery list and to-do lists are moving from phone to paper and anything else I can think of. When I search for something on my phone, I end up checking the weather for the 43rd time and looking for other ways I can continue to...

Hello Reader, The most difficult thing about simplifying your life is maintaining motivation for a life change that can take years. Motivation to declutter, simplify and slow down comes from the support system you create. Your support system may include friends and family, good decluttering books, documentaries and even these quotes about minimalism. You can use them as wallpaper on your phone or write them on sticky notes for daily reminders of what matters to you. 10 Quotes About Minimalism...
